Now What?

Hallefrickenlujah.

When I set out to do this 365 project, I had high hopes.
I was going to focus on my photography skills.
I was going to capture the moments.
I was going to love every second of it and appreciate every single day.

I failed miserably.
I missed days and instead doodled pictures.
I found myself wandering the house at the end of the day looking for anything to take a picture of because I had forgotten when we were out doing something fun and memorable.

Ugh.

But I don't regret it at all.
Because when I look at every single picture I have of the Year 2010, I remember where I was and what happened that day.
Even if it was nothing.
And despite missing out on some special photographed moments, I have many captured in my heart and memory.

And that is what matters the most.

Thank you for joining me.

In 2011, I am going to change things up.
Favourite picture of the week.
Themes.
Animals.
People.
Celebrations.
Food.

What do you think I should do?????

Day 31

January 31.

Six years ago today, my second son was born. Six years ago today, my second son decided to make his arrival before his Mommy could get an epidural and before the Doctor arrived. Six years ago was one of the three happiest days of my life.

Ok, four, counting my wedding day.

Today we celebrated with Chuck E Cheese, pizza, Batman cake and presents.

Happy Birthday to my baby boy.

Day 30

Mr. Potatohead. A simple toy that millions of kids have loved for many years.
I have played with this toy over and over again with three of my own children.
But I also played with it alot in my before-my-own-children days wen I used to get paid to teach children {who have Autism} how to play.
Sounds like fun right?
It was....the first few hundred times.
Not so much now.

But I do it.
Over and over again.
And even pretend to talk like Mr./Mrs./little taterheads.
Just to see my children smile.

I still havent received my "Mother of the Year" Award.
I am sure it is in the mail.

Day 29

A full moon on a cold winter's night.

In my backyard.

Life is good.

Day 28

I want to always remember my children toddling around in just their diaper.

So I take pictures.

Because it is the cutest thing ever.

Even when they have snotty noses.

Day 27

Studleythedog. With paper on his nose.

Day 12

This mess is mine.
This mess was {mostly} made by me.
Tsk tsk.
Naughty Momma.

This is my scrapbooking corner in our basement.
Basement...aka playroom, disaster area, room that looks like a bomb hit it.
You get the idea.
I took this picture because I will clean this area.
I will organize my mess.
Sometime this year.

Day 11

This is my food journal for 1 week.
Notice there isnt any chocolate.
And pop.
And McDonalds.

5 pounds down.
25 to go.

Day 10

Yes, I know this picture was shown on my other blog.

So what!

Day 9

The Sound of Music.
One of the best movies of all time.

The Sound of Music Live.
Amazing, awesome, terrific, fantabulous.

I considered standing up in my seat and singing along.

But thought that I might embarrass my husband who was sweet enough to purchase the tickets.

Day 8

Bathtime is a regular routine around here with two dirty boys and a girl who still wears diapers.

The only one that enjoys getting clean and is excited to get in the water is Princess.

The boys...umm...not so much.

Day 7

Oh Mr. Sun, Sun, Mr. Golden Sun

Please shine down on me.

We havent been seeing the sun very much, so when it does come out, I am a happy girl.

Now if it would just warm up about 30 degrees

Day 6

Winter sucks.

To put it bluntly.

I hate it.

More than I hate green peppers.

And that says alot.

Rowdy loves winter.

I swear if I didnt carry him for 9 months and feel the pain of him rushing to get out of my uterus, I would think he wasnt mine.

But he is.

And we differ on our opinions of many things.

Winter being one of them.

So I get him to shovel.

And he does.

Day 5

This is Princess.
Although lately she hasnt been a Princess.
More like a rascal.
Trouble-maker.
Brat.

But none of that matters when she greets me this way upon waking from her nap.

Day 4

I am not one to make resolutions.

But when I look at myself in the mirror and wonder what has happened to me, I know things need to change.

Today is the beginning of a new journey.

I have committed myself to losing 30lbs by the end of April.

I will do it.

Just watch me.

But first I need to adjust our scale.

Day 3

It's the dead of winter here.
Cold.
Freezing actually.
But that doesnt stop the boys from spending hours outside on the new {antique}snowmobile.

I love watching them {from inside the warm house} and will always remember how small they look sitting on it.
I know they wont look small on many things for much longer.
Especially considering they are wearing their parents helmets.

Day 2

Be warned. I probably will not post a picture every day but just know that I am taking a picture...or two...or 56 every single day.
Because it is fun.

And I need to practice my picture-taking-skills.

Just because.

Day 2 was a day of reflection of the holiday season that just passed.
It was the last day we had our Christmas tree{s} up.
It snowed. Alot.
And it was -25 degrees {celsius} outside.
So we stayed inside, turned on our Christmas lights for one last time, started a fire and watched a movie.

I highly recommend it.....unless you live in Florida.

Day 1

Well, here we are.

A New Year.

A new adventure.

Day 1 was an exciting one with a big snowfall.

and a deep-fried turkey dinner.

I took pictures of the finished turkey.....and then realized that the photo card wasnt even in my camera.

Oops.

So my first picture of the series is Studley.
In the snow.
