Today my middle child learned how to tie shoelaces.

His Momma taught him.

Oldest child still doesn't know how.

And he has no interest in learning.

Middle child's class performed 2 songs in a primary assembly today.
I am proud to say that middle child smiled....and sang along with everyone else.

I know. He is very tall.
Tallest kid in Kindergarten actually.
And he is quite proud to tell everyone.

As the baby items quickly disappear from our home for the last time, I am trying to capture the small things that I will miss.



Small, dimply hands holding sippy cups everywhere they go is something I want to remember.

Day 48

For almost 3 years I have had a drawer I call "My Skinny Drawer". When I became pregnant with baby #3 I packed those jeans into my drawer...said an emotional goodbye and told them I would bring them out again soon.

The jeans have waited faithfully in that drawer along with a few pairs of black pants and sweaters.

I brought the jeans out of that drawer for the first time, gave them a kiss and said "Here we go".

One by one I put them on.

All the way on. Not just up to my thighs, but all the way on over my butt.

And I did them up.

I did them up!

I cried.

I hung them up.

I put my fat jeans into the drawer and told them I would never wear them again.

Valentine's Day 2010.

I love my hubby.

I want to always remember my children toddling around in just their diaper.

So I take pictures.

Because it is the cutest thing ever.

Even when they have snotty noses.

As much as he drives me bonkers at times, I still melt when I look at his gorgeous face.

January 23, 2010.
We went for a walk today.
In January.
And the kids even played outside without freezing their tooshies.
Winter can stay for a bit longer if it is going to give us weather like this.

It's the middle of January here.
And we don't have much snow.
I was even outside for just a few minutes without a coat on.

Studley was very happy too.

It was involved in an accident involving my hubby's head when we were in Florida.

One of the best movies of all time.

The Sound of Music Live.
Amazing, awesome, terrific, fantabulous.

I considered standing up in my seat and singing along.

But thought that I might embarrass my husband who was sweet enough to purchase the tickets.
